Tata Nano - The cheapest car


The “TATA NANO” Rs. 1-lakh car arrived on 23rd March, 2009. This car depicts advanced technology with small size and thus, comes the name NANO. Mr. Ratan had stated that “Nano meets all safety and security norms.” He added by saying that “it also has 21% extra volume than the most popular Maruti 800.” It means that the interior space is good.

The price of the car will be Rs. 1.25 to Rs. 1.80 lakh + taxes. This comes in different colors too.

Car is available in Racing Red, Ivory White, Summer Blue, Champagne Gold, Lunar Silver, Sunshine Yellow ( Only available in LX Model) colors.

Tata Nano Standard (BSII* and BSIII*): The standard version, in three colour options, single-tone seats, and fold-down rear seat;

Tata Nano CX (BSII* and BSIII*): In five colour options, with heating and air-conditioning (HVAC), two-tone seats, parcel shelf, booster-assisted brakes, fold-down rear seat with nap rest;

Tata Nano LX (BSIII*): With the features of CX plus complete fabric seats, central locking, front power windows, body coloured exteriors in three premium colours, fog lamps, electronic trip meter, cup holder in front console, mobile charger point, and rear spoiler. Many of these features are not available on current entry-level small cars in the country.

On either side of the car there are two scoops provided, which helps the cool air to enter and keeps the engine cool when it is move. The wheels made-up of steel look like Alloy wheels and are called as style-in-steel.

The spare wheel is placed under the bonnet which is easily accessible. This car is provided with 80 liters of luggage space behind the rear seat. The rear seat can be folded to create a total luggage space of 500 liters. This car with fuel tank capacity of 15 liters uses petrol as its fuel. The type of engine it has is 624cc-2 cylinder and brakes are dual circuit, vertical split operated. There is no danger of going over-speed in this car, because it has a quality of fuel cutoff when it reaches the top speed 105 kmph. It is also said to be comfortable to drive in the Ghats. This car has overall length, width and height as 3099, 1495 and 1652 mm respectively. With ground clearance of 180mm and minimum turning circle radius of 4 meters, it is four person seating car. So when are you going to own a NANO for yourself.
