Tata IndigoTDi owner review by Mr.Nishanth R

I own a Indigo LS, got it 4 months ago, its done 7500 Kms. Its been pretty good till now, some niggling problems which all cars usually have. Got it serviced at 5000Kms, but i don't feel much of a difference. It gives me about 18Kmpl on an average as i live in Mysore and i don't have to stop for traffic much. The problems i faced were mainly with the AC, i sometimes get hot air from it even when its not ON. The people in the showroom fixed that, probably loose insulation. If you are planning to hit high speeds, don't forget to concentrate, because the steering becomes over-sensative because the hydraulic assist doesn't switch off. But, its an excellent highway car nonetheless and Maruti Esteem was my previous car and in comparison, the space here feels like a mansion. The hub caps on my tires flew away, literally... So, I suggest you strap them up. The AC cools very quickly; but the engine response is simply confusing as soon as the AC is switched on. You will need some getting used to. The window roll handle seems a bit tight and gets stuck on occasions.

Apart from that, the car is a pleasure to drive and is very comfortable around humps and bumps. But, whenever I do go on big enough humps, the car seems to pitch and roll, almost as though it were one big box without suspension. the space here is simply too much to compare with any japanese car, even much bigger ones perhaps. Case in point being the boot which can definately fit in 3 people..

All in all, a good buy, especially for those who travel much, need a big car and don't have a fat enough pocket to shell out 8 or nine lakhs(Fiesta).... Reminds me of me....
